Yup, It's two sets of headphones for vocaloid Rin and Len.
Hopefully my friends like the results.

Cosplay by:
:iconhoshinoarashi: as Rin
:iconxrysx: as Len

Thanks to sakana for helping me with the pattern Printout.

As usual. It's another last minute chionging of work out of my packed schedule. :) Is like kick start doing from last weekend. I never capture the process of making previously, as I was rushing to complete few days before flying for CF 2009 in KL. So sorry.

As the lightings itself, I made, fixing the Leds inside the headphones instead of just having on them on the surface. In this way, the light diffuse nicely and even instead of just disperse.

This is not something new. For the Benefits of those interested in Vocaloid Magnet and enquired on the making of the Headphones and Photos. I did another Updates For you guys.

It's good try. It's always good to turn trash into something useful. But wasn't made from any headphones. They are just 4 x spray can caps.

The headphones are no longer with me. Plus opening up equal to destroying it. It's not LCD. Is LED Light emitting diodes. It comes with a positive and negative connection. you required 12 voltDC to power up.

You can refer to my rod WIP with the red LEDs. It come in a strip. [link]

Pic of the LEDs.

Maybe you can ask around your neighbouring hardware stores, I'm glad they can assist you by showing you how to use them.

I use those strip Leds that is 3 Leds with resistance in series that is powered by 12Vdc. So basically, each side of the phones is powered by 18 Leds.

Wiring to me is simple. direct positive and negative connections.

Something I miss out.

Another Light medium I used is the yellow neon bendable light strip ( Can get at party store or Daiso. I used a depleted light strip to go around the slit which I left expose previously for the led to emit out the lights.

If You want to save the trouble of making LEDs and connecting to battery. You can use Neon light strip. Jus replace it when it depleted.

Additional Info:
Mine, I used 12VDC rechargeable Lithium to power the LEDs. It lasted more than 6hr throughout the event without turning off.

I never capture the process of making previously, as I was rushing to complete few days before flying for CF in KL. So sorry.

I can briefly explain the process of making.
For these sets of props. I never used anything related with headphones. Let me recall the materials. hah

Materials and process in making:

For the headphones structure

1. Main headphones materials 4 x spray can caps about 6cm in diameter( I know sound ridiculous, haha). I used transparent yellow caps.

2. White paper or foam sheets for wrapping parts around the caps which are white. so you need to cut strips for the circumference and circles for the headphone surfaces.

I left a slit of width 5mm around the circumference of the caps for the light to emit out. which mean I have a slit between 2 slits.

as for the magnet pattern design it was traced out by :iconsakana: and printed onto sticker sheet. But to make it lasting. I laminated the stickers, cut out n pasted onto the circular surfaces.

3. For the larger rings of the headphones. You can cut dia 7-8cm rings with center holes of dia 6cm and slot into the spray can caps. Size is ur individual preference.

4. For the feather wings. I make another ring w a slight extension from cardboard. Next, I lay out the feather arrangement and glue it onto the extension before I slot it into the caps.

5. Cut a final ring to sandwich the feather wings layer and glue.

6. Not forget the Inverted U-shape and the pink wires. That is straight forward. I used thick rigid wires and bent to shapes and glue on.

For the Lightings

7. I solder LEDs to wires for both sides of the earphones and connect them to connectors. so later on, I can connect them to battery. (Battery is hidden in cosplayer clothes nt in the headphones)

8. Arrange the LEDs in the empty caps n hot glue them in position. but remember to cut small holes for the wires to route out of the earphones before sealing up with a final circular board.

For Mic

9. You make using wires and a rectangular foam etc. Alternatively, use a PC cheapo mic.

10. cut a hole in the caps to insert the mic. I use wires to wrap around the mic parts in the caps and hot glue, creating a huge bump in the cap. So that it will never slip out.

11. Fix the two sides of earphones to a thin headband. ( I used yellow 5mm headband)

12. Finally I sealed the backend of the earphones (the sides facing ur ears) with a circular board/foam sheet. This will hide all the ugly connection and hot glue in the caps. haha

Hope the explanation will help U.

we are thinking of adding lights in the headphone, but it seems

haha~
so i felt really happy tat u told me the whole process >.< THANK YOU VERY MUCH

one more question, abt the lights
is "yellow neon bendable light strip" the one no need electricity one? and it can last abt one day.

it seems quit hard for us to solder LEDs to wires >.<
we try to find somethings to replace them.

The bendable neon light strips, I think only last at most an hr plus, but U can bring a few to event so tat u can change. They can be purchase at party shops in bugis area, rochor centre and most of the daiso.
