The Invading and the Invaded

父を奪ったのは　十字を切る　啓典の民で

An useless person like me, who should I detest... Ah... I have finally understood...

FOOLISH HUMAN, I AM YOUR ENEMY!"


The story of Cain and Abel from Genesis is pretty obvious.
Layla's parents have different religions, when conflict began between two groups, so ended the peace of her home (it is possible that her parents killed each other). She felt bitter toward the world, but couldn't side with either parties, and wondered who she shall hate.

When she ran away from home, she was mortally wounded by a stray arrow from war. She fell into the dungeon where she met the demon of flame sealed by blue stone. She signed contract with the demon, and acquired eternity.
She said something about suicide. Suicide is forbidden for either Christian or Muslim, and when she gained eternity, I guess it also means the human Layla is also gone forever.

Before Layla met the demon, her life had been miserable. She lost her love ones, and everything went against her wishes.
The demon Shaytān had been imprisoned as long as time in the dark dungeon, being alone and almost forgot his own name. He thanked Layla for releasing him and vowed to protect her, and destroy everything that she hates. Is it Christian? Is it Muslim? Or is it "war"?

And then the three sisters sang the history of Reconquista of Iberia. Maybe that's the result of why Layla couldn't really decide which party to destroy. But after long years of watching the same repeating cycle, she finally understood "what" her enemy is. So Shaytān declared war to human, and forced them to unite. And that's the end of the conflicts in Iberia...for now
