ACME III (A Certain Magical Event III) was held at Suntec Convention Center room on  27th Aug 11. The Event has been growing since the 1st ACME held two years back. Not to forget to THANK Singapore Local Anime Fans and supporters.

The programme lineup this year in ACME's history!

The collaboration  event was brought to you by KKNM and Various Major Supporter  including Genesis Frontier, Bushiroad, ShowsDoll, SG Café and Anibee.tv.

Hardcore Fans can be seen queuing since the morning when the mall opened. There were merchandise from Japan Comiket 80 together with the other newly release.

The Exciting Part was the "Madoka Majika Kyubei Kuji" Which starts at 4pm. Fans were waiting to purchase Their Lucky DIP Draw.

The Anime Festival Asia X (AFA) was packed with more activities and program since the 1st AFA in 2008. As those already know, I am usually helping out Genesis Frontier (GF) as official photographer. GF booths which comprises of KKNM, Showdolls, Nitroplus, Card Geeks, Cospa and Bushiroad. This year, GF had increased in booth area size as well as anime merchandise.

Day 0 (Fri) – This was a booth setup day for everyone. GF Crew was working since morning. I was there late afternoon to settle some technical issue of the video piping at the mini-stage.

Day 1 (Sat) – I was there 7.30am to prepare before the event started at 9 am. This is the day where I only had only two pieces of toast until dinner. When the event doors were opened, the anime fans gushed in and the MAD Queuing begins!!! All our Queue masters had to ensure order and fairness.



Late morning of the day, I was following through Bushiroad program together with the Seiyus for Milky Holmes. Suzuko Mimori as Sherlock Shellingford, Izumi Kitta as Cordelia Glauca, Mikoi Sasaki as Hercule Barton and Sora Tokui as Neko Yuzurisaki.

11am was a live demo of the card geek game by CEO of Bushiroad. I was short of hand, Kitta San the cute saviour offered to help me with video recording while I did my photo coverage. Phew*  




Meanwhile, I also met Aldoia and Masako at the mini-Stage Area as I was wrapping up my Stuff.



Following next, was a stage appearance and performance of the Seiyus.



In the late noon, I prepared two props for my friends cosplay. Yup, you’re right. It’s Panty and stocking cosplayed by Sakana and Xrys




Day 2 (Sun) – I was engaged by AFA /Canon for a photography talk during day 2 of the event. Well, hopefully my speech wasn’t too technical for the audience to understand and I was able to the doubts and enquiries.

Right after, we had the Seiyus signature event.



Late evening, I met up with yuanie sailormoon team and took some photographs before I returned to booth and wrapped up the stuff to send to shop. Our crew had a late dinner. By then, I was sort of braindead.. Haha



Anyway, It was a eventful weekend.

Few more days before AFA. How Everyone cosplay progress?. Beside official daily work to handle, I should be helping out with some random stuff and photography for booth during the AFA.

There's number of things that I need to prepare for the event. I'm in the midst of working on 2 props which was only planned 3 weeks ago for AFA Day 1. Grabbed some junks and material, I started working on. Sakana and Xrys helped to drew the templates.

During the 1st 3hr of making on weekend, I got the 1st prop structure built everything looks fine, we called it a day. However, I destroyed the 1st prototype in the next few days. Well, this is a white/clear prop and it has to be clean and neat. I do not intend to cover any flaws with any paint. After consideration, I decided to redo the whole structure to have a better feel.
By the 2nd weekend, the 1st prop was 95% done. Left with one weekend ORZ...

The 2nd prop inner structure and overall was done in a day, I tried my best to give it a nice skin wrap last sunday. Yesterday, I did some power calculation and plan to increase the power input to the prop. Again, I took the risk and destroyed portion of prop. NOW WHAT??? Good Luck to me.

Two weeks of heavy workloads after TGX. Major faults occurred that required immediate attention. Domain controller totally went down without redundancy. I don't know which clever guy come out the network design without a secondary DC. All my other servers just disconnected and failed. Burnt my weekend reviving the network with a new DC, Got to reconfig the DNS DHCP and AD before everything can re-joined to domain, working from wee hours till morning.

Weather here is unpredictable nowadays. I hated lightning strikes. More stuffs failed, Guess I been running around the island rectifying stuffs including wee hours. More to come, I assumed tomorrow (Sun) going to be a working day for me again. Next week I don't wish to think about it. Research work and presentation plus clarifying and updates of happenings over the past 2 weeks.

Enough of Rantings. I will be looking forward to my holiday in japan. 1st time for me visiting Japan. Got assignment to fulfill. QUEUING FOR COMIKET!!! Guess the temp will be damn hot, and instant icepack was not available for purchase here. Well, I don't what stuff I'm queuing for. But definitely will have stuff for ACME sale on 28 Aug back here.

Have been rushing like mad for countless of weekends and nights for cosfest.
Although I been there throughout, but i miss every single performance and happenings inside the hall. Most of the time, I was talking with friends that i had not seen for seen for a long time. Never seem to take much photos either.

At the same time, we had a chalet gathering (a short break from home). Well when I returned home, mum say i was not being communicative, I was still working on worthless stuff. Same old question keep rising in my mind these few days. Maybe I should put a stop to creating more stuffs. Been pushing back a number of things that I should be doing. I shall decide after TGX.
